Your contact details are never shown to other members unless you explicitly approve it, and we do not sell your personal data. The detail below explains exactly what we hold and why.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, date of birth, gender, photos, location, religion, community, education, occupation, family details, relationship preferences, and contact details. We also collect usage data (which profiles you view, interest activity, and chat messages) and device information (device model, OS version, and IP address for security).
2. How we use your information
Your information is used to: create and maintain your profile, match you with compatible members based on your preferences, enable communication between matched members, verify your identity and age, enforce community safety (detecting fraud, abuse, and policy violations), and improve our matching algorithms.
3. What other members see
Your profile (name, age, photos, city, occupation, religion, and preferences) is visible to verified members based on your privacy settings. Your phone number, email, and contact details are never shown to other members unless you explicitly approve a contact-sharing request from a match.
4. Verification data
Selfie verification images are stored securely and used only to confirm your identity matches your profile photos. Government ID verification (optional Advanced Verification) is processed by our third-party provider. We store only the verification result (pass/fail) and provider name. Your ID document image is not retained by Rizzta.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: identity verification providers (Didit) for document and liveness checks, cloud infrastructure providers (Supabase, AWS) for hosting, and law enforcement when required by valid legal process. Family managers and brokers you authorize can see and act on your profile as defined by the permissions you set.
6. Data retention
Active accounts: your data is retained as long as your account is active. Paused accounts: data is retained but hidden from other members. Deleted accounts: your profile is hidden immediately. Personal data is purged from our systems within 30 days of deletion, except where legal obligations require longer retention (e.g., reports under review, financial records).
7. Your rights
You may: access your profile data at any time through the app, correct inaccurate information via Edit Profile, request a copy of your data by emailing [email protected], delete your account and data (Profile > Delete account), and withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., horoscope matching) by clearing those fields.
8. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Profile photos are served via short-lived signed URLs. Row-level security ensures members can only access data they are authorized to see. Verification media is stored in a private bucket inaccessible to other members.
9. Cookies and tracking
The mobile app does not use browser cookies. We use anonymous crash reporting (Sentry) to fix bugs and improve stability. We do not use advertising trackers or sell usage data to advertisers.
10. Children
Rizzta is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Age is verified during onboarding and optionally confirmed via government ID.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
